A New Year

It's January in Texas.

January Rose

Well, it's January everywhere I suppose but January in Texas means our rosebushes are still clinging to their blossoms even though many other things are not growing. You can even see new buds in that photo. I really like January roses and to think, I nearly tore out those rosebushes last year.

We're back home after awhile in MN/WI and are settling back in. We had a low key New Year's Eve, just making dinner with a friend then lazing on the couch. Austin went back to work today for the first time in two weeks and I just finished some work on a paper; I'll be updating my syllabus and class materials soon too.

No major plans on the horizon, we're just enjoying the familiar old routines.

I enjoyed your laid back blog. We also had a relaxing new years eve, watched Tinkerbell with Joey and Charlie and then went to bed after the ball dropped. Enjoyed a belated Christmas with my family the next night. It is good to be back in the routine though, isn't it?
